93 percent of all Minnesotans have some type of health care
coverage: 63 percent are covered through employer-sponsored coverage,
while 25 percent receive government supported coverage and 5 percent

Overall enrollment in Minnesota health plans remained steady
at about 4 million people.
Self-funded members represent more than 48 percent of Minnesota health plans' employer-based enrollment.
Minnesota public health care program enrollees represent 10 percent of enrollment. In 2005, MinnesotaCare enrollment was 123,116 (down 7 percent from 2004) and enrollment in Prepaid Medical Assistance and General Assistance was 283,839.
